Bespoke shoes are made for an individual person. This includes both specificity of design and measurement. Each pair of shoes we make is tailored to the individual. Your shoes are made to your specification and the personalization is limitless – You can add your personal signature to be inscribed inside the shoes if you so desire.

We ensure our customers are well informed with regards to every stage of the shoe making process. This means you will know, per stage, what is being worked on with regards to your shoes. In any case that there is a delay, we will keep you well informed.

Solemate by Dapper Shoes are made out of the finest and most exclusive leather you can find in the market. Our manufacturing plant is based in Italy with a heritage of over 50 years making shoes for global icons from luxury brands to Pop stars. You can be guaranteed there will be no copy of your bespoke shoe sold in a boutique store.

HOW SECURE IS SHOPPING ON BESPOKESOLEMATE.COM?

We use the secure 128-Bit-SSL encryption standard for all orders to protect your personal data from third parties. It encrypts the personal data you provide us to ensure it is safe and ensures you a worry-free shopping experience.

WHAT IF THE PRODUCT IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED?

If for any reason, you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, you can exchange your shoes within 30days of receipt providing you have not worn them. To avoid total dissatisfaction we have a no full refund policy but rather offer to exchange the unworn shoe for any chosen pair of your type. Returns must be unworn, in the state you received them, and in the original packaging.

WHAT MATERIAL ARE THE SHOES MADE FROM?

Both the inner and outer leather, as well as, the soles are made from genuine leather, which is a natural product with high elasticity, flexibility and resistance to wear and tear. We ensure that all our products meet up to the standards of Comfort, Luxury and Style. What this means is that, Quality is only truly represented through a comfortable luxury shoe that brings out your individual style.

WHERE ARE THE SHOES PRODUCED?

Solemate shoes are bespoke handcrafted shoes designed in London, made meticulously in Italy and delivered across the world. Solemate by Dapper shoes are handmade in a third generation factory in Torre San Patrizio, a small city near San Venanzo, close to the famous city of Ancona in Italy. Italy has played a huge role in the shoe industry since the early 90’s. Ranked as the Top fashion capital of the world, Italy operates on the art of dressing-up well; “la bella figura” is the tradition we model our shoes after. Solemate attaches great importance to quality and excellent, creative workmanship, which is why we manufacture exclusively in Italy.

HOW ARE THE SHOES MADE?

All our shoes are entirely hand made by our skilled artisans in Italy, from cutting the unique patterns for your shape to embossing the Solemate logo into the lining of your choice, each pair of shoes is carefully handcrafted.

HOW MUCH ARE THE DELIVERY COSTS?

There is a flat rate of €20 charged on shoes delivered within the EU, depending on your delivery address and a variable delivery cost for anywhere in Africa. ONCE I PLACE AN ORDER, IS IT TOO LATE TO MAKE CHANGES AND/OR CANCEL THE ORDER?

Unless otherwise stated, products that are available immediately are shipped the next business day after the order was placed. If you would like to make changes to your order please email us as soon as possible at luxury@bespokesolemate.com and we will gladly make the required changes before the products are shipped. If you would like to cancel your order and the order has already been placed, please do not hesitate in letting us know.

HOW DO I EXCHANGE MY PURCHASED ITEMS?

In the event that your shoes do not fit, you can return them free of charge within 30 days of receipt for an exchange of any shoe of your choice. Please note we can only accept unworn items. We therefore recommend that you try on shoes on soft surfaces (e.g. carpet). Be sure not to remove any labels and or soil the goods. This saves both you and us time and inconvenience.

Important for all customers outside EU: Please make sure to send your returned items with all the required documents (invoice and customs declaration) in a plastic cover on your parcel. You should also write, “Return“ or fix the corresponding sticker on the parcel. This way, your delivery should be able to go through customs without any issue or additional cost.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH SIZE TO ORDER?

We have prepared an at home measuring guide to help you clearly determine the best size for you. We cover sizing tips across all our products. You can also make an appointment to be measured by one of our consultants based in Canary Wharf, London UK.

I HAVE PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED SHOES FROM SOLEMATE. SHOULD I ORDER THE SAME SIZE FOR A DIFFERENT STYLE?

Yes. Although some of the sizing of our styles might vary slightly, these variables are small enough not to impact the overall size. We strongly recommend that you purchase the same size.

WHEN SHOULD I MEASURE MY FEET?

Your feet, according to research, will typically swell slightly throughout a normal day. We suggest that you measure at a time when you have been on your feet for a while, perhaps mid to late afternoon, to obtain the best fit.

HOW CAN I CREAT A CUSTOMER ACCOUNT?

Just click on the button My account. Here you will find the option to register as a new user. If you already have goods in your shopping cart, just click on the button “checkout“. You will automatically receive an e-mail for registration. Follow the instructions and you will enter your personal login area.

I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY PASSWORD, HOW DO I RESET IT?

If you have forgotten your password, just click on the button forgot password, right besides the “Login” button. Enter your e-mail address and a message will be sent to you with a link embedded to reset your password. Otherwise, you can also send us an e-mail at luxury@bespokesolemate.com

WHICH PAYMENTS METHODS CAN I USE ON BESPOKESOLEMATE.COM?

We offer you several payment options to choose from. You can pay by credit or debit card (we accept Visa or Mastercard) or PayPal. When returning goods, the amount will be credited directly back to your bank account. Please note that the credit card must be issued and contain a logo from either Visa, Mastercard or American Express on it. The billing address must also match the address registered to the bank card. Any anomalies in this information can arise in a delay in processing your order as the information is checked with the fraud department for your protection. If you choose to pay with PayPal, your order will be forwarded to the official PayPal homepage. There you can complete the payment with your credit card. If you are not yet a PayPal member, you also have the option to pay as a guest. As soon as PayPal confirms the successful transaction, we will ship your order to the address provided.

WHAT IF I HAVEN’T RECEIVED A COPY OF MY INVOICE?

Invoices for all orders are attached to the email order confirmation. If you have not received this or would like an additional copy please contact us at luxury@bespokesolemate.com and we will be happy to help.

ONE OF MY LEGS IS SHORTER AND I NEED A HEIGHT INCREASE BUILD INTO THAT SHOE, HOW DOES THIS WORK WITH YOUR SHOES?

Simple, just let us know the specifics and we will include this in your bespoke shoe. We can add up to 1″ inside the shoe and more outside. There is no surcharge! This will become part of your last and next time your shoes will also have the increase included.

I DO NOT HAVE A SCANNER HOW CAN I EMAIL YOU MY MEASUREMENT?

You can simply use your mobile phone camera and take a picture of the completed form and you can email it direct from your phone. Kindly email the measurement to measurement@bespokesolemate.com

HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO TAKE A MEASUREMENT?

Measuring your feet has been made very simple. All you need is a pen, a downloaded copy of the measurement guide and 10 minutes to get an accurate measurement of your feet. Download the measurement guide following the easy steps here ….. (Please add hyperlink to the measurement here)

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A SHOE?

One pair of shoes takes roughly a condensed week to make (longer for welted construction), but this time is stretched over a series of weeks to allow the leather to dry and mold. Please allow 3 months for your bespoke order. To ensure your order is processed in time, we require a 50% deposit. This secures a space on our ever-increasing waiting list.

HOW MUCH DO THE SHOES COST?

Depending on the chosen collection, the leather type and personalized design, our shoes could range between £299 to £900. Cement construction (see definition below) is a quicker method and shoes that are cement constructed start at £400. Hand-welted shoes start at £600. Any shoe or boot can be made by either method, and the look and feel of the footwear will differ.

ARE THE SHOES 100% BESPOKE?

All shoes and boots are bespoke in every sense of the word. Overall design, toe shape, heel shape, colors, thread choice: almost anything is possible

Construction methods: cement and handsewn/welted:

Cement construction is a method of making lasted shoes. This is fairly common in both women and men shoes, and it simply means the method of attaching the sole to the shoe is via a commercial contact cement. Cement construction shoes are fully repairable, and are generally more flexible. They do not last as long as welted construction. Shoes that are traditionally hand-welted are incredibly strong and long lasting. A strip of leather (the welt) is sewn to the uppers and insole, and then this welt is sewn to the sole. This process is entirely done by hand, and is commonly seen on men’s bespoke shoes, although there is also a tradition of welting women’s shoes.
